WHY USE
SCALECON? Scalecon is a progressive, forward thinking
and dynamic company, embracing change and eager to grow. We are skilled
and highly experienced and pride ourselves on offering a top quality
service package at competitive prices.
Independent Facilities for Testing
Weighbridges
We own one of four rail test units in the country and have
access to road test sets, with the facilities to test weighbridges to
100t plus. This service is available for once off testing of equipment or
as part of a service and maintenance contract.
Excellent Response Times to Emergency
Call-Outs
We offer a 24 hour a day service with excellent response
times to contract clients. For example, our contracts with Airports
Company South Africa and SAA Cargo at Johannesburg International Airport
require a one-hour response time.
Competitive Prices
Tender Board requirements
for many of our clients demand that contracts are tendered annually.
This ongoing re-tendering against eager competition has ensured that
both the quality of our service and our prices remain competitive.
Our cost effective, highly efficient organisational structure with low
cost branch and centralised administrative operations ensure that we have
stayed lean and mean.
SABS Accreditation and Quality System
We
are accredited on the SABS 0259:1990 quality system allowing us to
verify trade use scales. Our unusually wide scope of SABS accreditation
allows us to work on all scale types (beam, counter, platform,
belt-weigher, weighbridge, self indicating, semi-self indicating,
digital and analogue) in the complete range from 50g to 100t+.
Highly Skilled and Experienced
Personnel
We
have over 45 years experience in scales and weighbridges, with ongoing
skills upgrades and training to keep us kept abreast of the rapid
technological revolution within the mass measuring industry. Our
verification officers are fully qualified to handle almost all types of
scales, both mechanical and electronic.
Progressive Transformation
Policies
We are
the forefront of the trend toward transformation in small, medium and
micro enterprises. After lengthy negotiations, we have recently
restructured with the retention of a female interest and in
incorporation of two black directors, highly experienced scale persons,
onto our Board and into our company. Our skills upgrading programme for
staff members continues to reap rewards.
